This weekend has a couple of performance opportunities that I’ve been looking forward to for a while now.
This Friday, April 17, I’ll be in Nashville, Ind. as part of the Singer, Songwriter and Storyteller Festival. The festival is part of the Red Carpet Extravaganza in Nashville this weekend. Singers, songwriters and storytellers will be performing live sets throughout the weekend.
My set will be at Cafe Interlude from 4:00 until 6:00 on Friday afternoon. Cafe Interlude is just west of Van Buren on Franklin St., behind the Honeysuckle House.
Other performers at the SSS Festival include Patchwork, Greg O’Haver, Jenn Christy and many, many more. Head on down to Nashville this weekend for a great spring getaway! For more information, visit the Brown County Convention and Visitors Bureau web site.
Then on Saturday, April 18, I head back to my old stomping grounds in the Bluegrass State for an evening set at Main and Maple Coffee House in Nicholasville, Ky. There is no charge for admission, and I’ll be playing from 8:00 until 10:00. Main and Maple is located in downtown Nicholasville at, you guessed it, the corner of Main and Maple!
If you have friends or family near Lexington or Nicholasville that you think would enjoy this, would you pass the word along to them? Thanks!
The following Sunday morning, I’ll be providing special music during worship at South Elkhorn Christian Church on Harrodsburg Road in Lexington. The service starts at 10:30.
Many thanks to the folks that came out for the Promise Road Writers’ Round. It was a great evening, and I’m looking forward to being back next month (May 8).
Blessings,
Dean
