The day after Valentine’s Day found me at Greenwood Village South, a retirement community near where we live. It was my second time to provide entertainment on a Tuesday evening. Like I told the folks, it’s always a pleasure to play a place for the second time and see people come back.
Given the season, it was a great opportunity to play a few love songs. Ain’t Misbehavin’ is always a favorite. This is also a group that enjoys older songs, so I had a blast playing my favorite songs that are older than me. I had a few people singing along on Five Foot Two.
It was the middle of a pretty stressful week on the job–blasted computers–and so playing music for such a kind, attentive and enthusiastic group was a welcome relief.
