I’ve performed Little Is Much When God Is in It at two ordination services, and it was the choice for special music during worship at First Christian Church in Colorado Springs on August 17. The song dovetailed nicely with the sermon, which was based on the closing words from the epistle of James (5:19-20).
I love to throw in a chorus of Brighten the Corner Where You Are with Little Is Much. The two seem to go together so nicely, and I always associate Brighten the Corner with my dear mother-in-law.
Written in 1924 by Kittie Suffield, Little Is Much When God Is in It has endured for almost a century. The song carries a message for everyone engaged in ministry, a word that God is present in everything we do.
